FAQ – PMU

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic treatment in which high-quality pigments are carefully implanted into the upper layers of the skin to enhance your natural features. It’s not about changing the way you look – it’s about refining, balancing and bringing out what is already there.

The goal is a soft, natural effect that fits your face effortlessly, so you can feel confident without the need for daily makeup.

Permanent makeup is a process that requires precision, time and attention to detail. To achieve the best and most natural result, the treatment is performed in two stages:

  • Initial treatment – where we design the shape, choose the colour and perform the first pigmentation
  • Perfecting session (top-up) – performed after 6–12 weeks, once the skin has fully healed

This second session is essential to refine the colour, adjust any areas if needed, and ensure the final result is perfectly balanced.

Right after the procedure, the colour can appear more intense – this is completely normal. Within 3-7 days it softens, and after full healing (4-8 weeks), the result becomes natural, soft and well-balanced with your features.

Most clients describe the discomfort as minimal. I use high-quality numbing products to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.

Initial healing takes around 7-14 days, but the full result develops over 4-8 weeks as the pigment settles in the skin.

Results typically last between 1-3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Regular colour boost helps maintain the colour and shape.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners before your treatment. Do not use retinol or have any invasive skin treatments in the area for at least 4-6 weeks prior.

You should avoid applying makeup on the treated area until it is fully healed to prevent irritation and ensure proper pigment retention.

Yes – when performed professionally. I use safe, high-quality pigments and sterile equipment, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and skin safety.

Certain medical conditions, skin issues, or treatments may be contraindications. This is why consultation is so important – to ensure the treatment is safe for you.

Permanent makeup is a long-lasting solution for anyone who wants to simplify their daily routine while still looking polished and fresh. You can wake up every morning with perfectly defined brows, lips or eyeliner without needing to reach for makeup. Whether you’re going to the gym, swimming, travelling, or simply living a busy lifestyle, your look stays consistent – it won’t smudge, fade throughout the day or wash off.

It’s a subtle enhancement that gives you more freedom, confidence and comfort every day.

FAQ – PMU & Tattoo Removal

How many sessions will I need?

Removal is a process. Most clients require a series of sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the pigment, depth, and your skin’s response.

Yes, when performed correctly. I use controlled methods (laser and/or chemical removal) tailored to your skin to minimise risk and protect the tissue.

In many cases, we can achieve significant lightening or full removal, but results vary depending on the pigment type and previous treatments.

You may feel some discomfort, but it is generally well tolerated. The sensation depends on the method used and individual sensitivity.

Yes – this is often the goal. Once the pigment is sufficiently lightened and the skin has healed, we can create a fresh, natural result tailored to you.
