Removing unwanted pigment is a process that requires precision, experience and a personalised approach.

In my clinic, I work with two advanced methods: ND:YAG Q-Switch laser removal and Chemical Removal, which can also be combined to achieve the best and safest results.

Each treatment plan is individually tailored based on your skin, pigment type, colour and previous treatments.

Laser removal is an advanced, safe and highly precise method based on ND:YAG Q-Switch technology – considered the gold standard in aesthetic treatments.

It allows for effective lightening or complete removal of unwanted pigment while maintaining maximum skin safety.

How does it work?

The laser works in nanosecond mode and creates a photo-thermal reaction.

This breaks the pigment into tiny particles, which are then naturally removed by the body’s immune system over time.

Chemical removal is a precise and controlled method designed to extract pigment from the skin without breaking it down.

It uses a specialised Pigment Remover formula, which allows the pigment to be lifted safely to the surface of the skin.

How does it work?

Unlike laser, this method does not shatter the pigment but gently removes it from the skin.

It is effective for all pigment types, including difficult tones such as yellow or residual pigment.

Every skin and every pigment is different.

  • You no longer like your tattoo

  • Under 18 years old age
  • DERMATOLOGICAL CONDITIONS in the area to be treated (acne pusiformis, purulent conditions, allergic or fungal lesions in the area to be treated, angiomas, impetigo, papillomas, breaks in the epidermis, burns
  • PREGNANCY and BREASTFEEDING (a raise in hormone levels can lead to elevated sensitivity, that can trigger adverse reactions and inconsistent results)
  • INFECTION at the treatment site (bacterial, viral and inflammatory infections of the body or skin in the treatment area - active rosacea)
  • Higher temperature
  • CANCER - the possibility of performing the procedure about half a year after healing; chemotherapy, radiotherapy without medical consultation
  • DIABETES in the unstable phase
  • HAEMOPHILIA and blood clotting disorders, conditions with episodes of difficult or chronic healing wounds, e.g. diabetic foot syndrome
  • Active HERPES
  • Active PSORIASIS in the treatment area
  • Active ATOPATHIC dermatitis (eczema) in the treatment area
  • Active SEBORRHOEIC dermatitis in the treatment area
  • AUTOIMMUNOLOGICAL DISEASES - systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic vasculitis ulcerative colitis, Crohn's syndrome, myasthenia gravis, systemic sarcoidosis - cardiac malformations/arrhythmias
  • Infections diseases HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis
  • Multiple sclerosis, SMA, cystic fibrosis
  • Inappropriate tattoo pigment type/colour; UV tattoo
  • Kidney Disease
  • Melasma
  • Photo-Sensitising Medication; Gold Medications

Minimum 2 weeks before:

  • Do not tan
  • No waxing
  • No vaccinations (2 weeks before and after the procedure)

Minimum 30 days before:

  • No chemical peels (acids)
  • No laser, IPL, microneedling, microdermabrasion or light-based treatments
  • No Botox or fillers (especially in the eye area)
  • No PDO threads
  • No eyebrow treatments (henna, tint, lamination)
  • No hair growth supplements for brows
  • No other tattoo or PMU removal treatments

Additional preparation:

  • Support your body with vitamins (D, E, C, iron)
  • Maintain a balanced diet rich in micronutrients
  • Drink at least 2 litres of water daily
  • Avoid alcohol on the day of the procedure

Proper aftercare is essential for safe healing and optimal results.

Immediately after treatment:

  • Keep the area clean and maintain hygiene
  • Gently cleanse with clean, warm water
  • Apply recommended aftercare products
  • You may use ice packs or soothing products (e.g. aloe vera) to relieve discomfort

General care:

  • Apply SPF 30-50 (minimum SPF 50 recommended long-term)
  • Avoid touching or irritating the area
  • Do not apply makeup, perfumes, or active skincare
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, swimming and intense exercise
  • Do not soak the treated area
  • Do not expose the area to sun or sunbeds
  • Do not shave the treated area
  • Wear loose, clean clothing (for body treatments)
  • Do not pick or scratch scabs
  • Prioritise rest, hydration and a healthy diet

After the treatment, the skin may be:

  • red, sensitive, slightly swollen or itchy

Within the first 7 days, small scabs may form after chemical removal – this is a natural part of the healing process and must not be disturbed.

After approximately 10-14 days, the skin begins to recover and the scabs fall off naturally.

In some cases, the pigment may temporarily appear darker – this is a normal transitional stage.

Final results develop gradually over time as the body removes the pigment.
